Narcotics Anonymous is a nonprofit fellowship or society of men and women for whom drugs had become a major problem. We are recovering addicts who meet regularly to help each other stay clean.

About Narcotics
Anonymous

What is NA ?

Narcotics Anonymous (NA) is a worldwide fellowship for people seeking recovery from drug addiction. It is a community of support built on the idea of one addict helping another. NA is not connected to any religion, government or outside organization, and there are no dues or fees — membership is open to anyone with a desire to stop using.

Meetings & Program

Meetings are the heart of NA. They provide a safe place to listen, share, and find connection. The program is based on the Twelve Steps, which offer practical tools for recovery and personal growth. Through meetings, sponsorship and fellowship, members learn they are not alone and that recovery is possible.

NA in Prague

Narcotics Anonymous in Prague is part of this global network. We offer meetings in English and other languages to support both locals and the international community. This page is dedicated to the English-speaking community — if you want more information on the local Czech community you can visit their website here. Everyone seeking recovery is welcome to join us and find support, strength and hope.

About Our Meetings

Coming to your first NA meeting ?

We call our weekly group sessions meetings. Addicts may attend any meeting they like. There is no need to register in advance.

What to expect at a meeting ?

At meetings we talk about the effect of addiction on our lives and what recovery gives us. Each of us speaks only about his or her own experience; we don’t give each other advice or lectures. We are financed by our own donations and are independent of other organisations.

About the meetings

Meetings take place in easily accessible spaces that we rent. You will find below the list of English-speaking NA meetings in Prague. We begin and end meetings on time. We do not talk about who was at a particular meeting or what was spoken of there. This helps us feel comfortable and secure. NA is a spiritual, non-religious program. At meetings we share our experience, strength and hope.

Step Study Meeting

Perhaps you’re still not sure you are an addict, or you really want help with drugs ?

Remember that there are no dues or fees at Narcotics Anonymous, and we don’t keep any records of who comes or leaves. You are welcome to come to one of our meetings and see what is being said. We won’t bother you if you decide that you don’t want what we have to offer. So you have nothing to lose and possibly everything to gain !

If you feel more comfortable talking to us by email, feel free to reach out at help@naprague.com. Our team of volunteers has experience with the problem of losing control with drugs, and is willing to help.

If you decide to come over to one of our meetings, we strongly suggest that you let someone know that this is your first meeting. That way they will provide you with the information that most people new to NA find useful. If you can’t find a meeting near you, there are also English-speaking online meetings (more information available soon).

We now also have a helpline, where you can talk to someone who has experience with drug abuse and the solution NA has to offer. The helpline is open every day from 10:00 – 18:00.
